Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau saved the Montreal Canadiens from a 4th straight loss with his goal in the third period and connecting in the shootout, to down the struggling Buffalo Sabres 2-1 Wednesday night. The Canadiens’ goalie Michal Neuvirth and the Sabres’ goalie Dustin Tokarski  were the main factors in the game, as there was no scoring until early in the third period. After soaring quickly to the top of the standings in their division Montreal now finds themselves struggling to maintain their lead. The Tampa Bay Lightening … with 2 games in hand and 17 points… take on the Calgary Flames Thursday night.  This should be a good one as the Flames have been playing some pretty solid hockey of late.
