For a team that started the season with a 5 game losing streak the Edmonton Oilers have stepped up to a 3 game home winning streak. They made short work of polishing off the Montreal Canadiens on Monday night with a 3 – nothing victory. They killed off penalties in a breeze and goalie, Ben Scrivens, once a Toronto Maple Leaf prospect, swept aside any threat for his first of the season shutout. Even though the Habs were soundly beat by the young guns, they are still on top of heap, tied with the Anaheim Ducks …. 2 losses and 14 points.
