After winning their first game so decisively and losing the next 4 the Winnipeg Jets bested the Tampa Hurricanes 3-1. Since then it has been  down hill all the way. On Friday night the Hurricane scored 4 goals in the first two periods, and were only answered by Bryan Little on a power play. After Ondrej Pavelec  had let in 4 of 18 shots he was replaced by Michael Hutchinson and he cast aside 9 shots. Blake Wheeler played very well in the third period and got the Jets 2nd goal as well as third star of the game. Pavelec is not playing as well as we are accustomed to and the defense seem ” out to lunch”. Vancouver with 12 points and Calgary with 11 are keeping the Canadian teams in the fray, but I cannot enjoy the hockey with My Jets in the cellar.
