TORONTO WINS A TEAM EFFORT

Six Players contributed goals to  the Toronto Maple Leafs’  win over the New York Rangers on Sunday night, with power play goals by Cody Franson and Phil Kessel. A goal by Tyler Bozake and an unassisted  short handed  goal by James Van Riemsdyk had the leafs up  4-2 midway through the 2nd period. Goals by Tyler Bozak an David Clarkson added two more by the end of the second. Along with Rick Nashs’ goal In the first, Rangers had goals from Lee Stempniak and Derrick Brassard. The Leafs wound up with a decisive 6-3 win. Phil Kessel, who had 1 power play goal and 2 assists definitely deserved the first star. Looks like he should have a great season.
