Perhaps it was the time zone or the atmosphere that contributed to the lackluster performance the Winnipeg Jets put up against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday night.  The Jets had thirty shots against the stalwart Martin Jones. Ondrej Pavelec was replaced by Michael Hutchison after Pavelec had let in I of 18 shots. Hutchison then let in 3 more goals and the Lakers won 4-1 Only with 2.13 left in the third did Bryan Little manage to put one past Jones, to save the shutout. This was Los Angeles first win in regulation time and they looked like the Stanley Cup Champions of last year.
