Penguins Come Through After Shaky Start by Momma Gouche

The Pittsburgh Penguins were down 3-1 early in the second period in their opening game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Marc Andre Fleury admitted that he was nervous until Beau Bennett and Mat Niskanen got power play goals within 2 minutes in the second. Fleury settled down and played his usual stalwart game after Brandon Sutter scored at 8:18 of the third (assisted by Beau Bennett). The Penguin pulled out a 4-3 win, after a very unproductive beginning. If memory and stats prove me right, the Penguins and Blue Jackets met 6 times in the regular season and the Penguins won them all. I had a good evening as both my teams won their opening games of the 2014 NHL Playoffs. Now I need a third win as My Chicago Blackhawks meet the St Louis Blues tonight a 8pm.
