MY HOMETOWN LAD SINKS WINNER FOR MONTREAL by Momma Gouche

Dale Weise hales from my hometown of Winnipeg and had dreamt for years of scoring a goal for his favorite NHL team, Montreal Canadiens. Wednesday night his dream came true as he put a wrist shot past Anders Lindback with 2 minutes left in overtime…off a great pass from Daniel Briere. Weise was traded from Vancouver in February where he saw limited ice time and now has his first goal in Stanley Cup playoffs. It took the Montreal Canadiens 45 shots to garner the win. Carey Price held Steve Stamkos to 2 goals in the 5-4 win.
