Wild Blow Leafs In Shootout

Momma Gouche is back and I cannot say I am too pleased with the performance the Toronto Maple Leafs put on against the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday night. They had 3 power plays in the second period with no success. Then they took 3 penalties in the third. Phil Kessel turned over the puck to Minnesota’s Charlie Coyle, who passed to Zach Parise. Parise’s shot deflected of a Toronto skate and the tying goal went into the net. There were no goals in overtime and the Wild won the shootout. Jonathon Bernier played a credible game, but certainly didn’t get too much support from his teammates. The Leafs blew too many opportunities. However my Hawks are doing just great and with their win in shootout tonight they are one point behind the Ducks with 30. Anaheim lost 5-1 to Tampa Bay tonight. My Winnipeg Jets have 20 points which leaves them with 15 teams ahead of them, 12 behind and 2 tied.

Still have a chance of making the playoffs if they win more than they lose.
