Jets And Hawks Left With Jettison by Momma Gouche

The Winnipeg Jets struggled through a, one for you— one fore me scenario. Though Blake Wheeler put the game  in OT with a late goal in the third , it was not enough in their game against the Nashville Predators on Thursday night. With 7 seconds left in OT Craig Smith caught Ondrej Pavelec off guard and the Predators had caught their prey. Winnipeg is 7 points out of the lead, but there is a long season to go to vie for a playoff spot. My Chicago Blackhawks played a credible game Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning and managed to get through their fateful third period with a power play goal by Andrew Shaw and a tieing goal by Jonathon Toews. But one minute into OT Martin St Louis ended the game @ 6-5  for Tampa after the shots on goal were 43 to 25 for the Blackhawks. This puts the Hawks with 15 and only 2 points out of the top.
