Jets Are Hovering by Momma Gouche

The game between the Winnipeg Jets and the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night was up in the air ’til the very last shot. The teams were tied three times. It was one of several games where there was no scoring in the first period.  Alexander Ovechkin and Andrew Ladd picked up 2 points each. The Jets kept coming back and Bryan Little scored in the third period to put the game in overtime. Again there was no scoring in OT. The Jets got 3 hits in the first round, but the Capitals got 4. And so ended the story with 5-4 for Washington. It was rather a tough game to follow as the lead changed hands so often. The thing that surprises me is how low the Capitals are on the board. The Jets are still one point ahead of them with 9. I’m sure there are better days ahead for the Washington Capitals, and as to my Winnipeg Jets, I will be happy if they make the playoffs!
