Jets Play Double Header by Momma Gouche

This ardent fan of the Winnipeg Jets and the Chicago Blackhawks is perhaps using poetic license when using double header to describe The Jets Friday night game against the St Louis Blues. Rumor has it that the Blues will be a contender for the Cup, and my mind says they won’t beat my Hawks. Well … on Thursday night they out-scored Chicago in a shootout, tieing the teams with 10 points. The Jets task on Friday night was to advance their own position and keep the Blues from going ahead of the Hawks. Alexander Steen put St Louis ahead 3-1 early in the second, but Evander Kane and Tobias Enstrom tied the score in the third. There were no goals in OT.  Olli Jokenin, with his second goal, won the shootout. Brian Elliott made his debut as starting goalie for St. Louis in the game and saved 26 shots, but unfortunately let in one too many in the shootout.

Well done Jets again! But you gave the Blues one point to stay on top of my Hawks.
