Leafs Flying High by Momma Gouche

Whatever flight pattern the Toronto Maple Leafs are on, it’s certainly the  right course. James Van Riemsdyk and Joffrey Lupul scored 2 goals each and Nazem Kadri and David Bollan picked up singles in Saturday night’s game against the Edmonton Oilers. Lupul’s second goal was a wrist shot with 31 seconds left in regulation — tying the score at 3. David Bolland took only 2 minutes to snap the winner home in OT. The Leafs are 6 and 1 and on top of the standings with the Colorado Avalanche and the San Jose Sharks. Who would have thought this team, who has only made the playoffs once in umpteen years, would be in this enviable position so early in the season. Obviously they have the right combination of players and hopefully they can maintain their prowess through the rest of the schedule.
