Leafs Blow A Lone First Place by Momma Gouche

Although the Toronto Maple Leafs have had a much better start this season and were once in first spot, there game against the Colorado Avalanche on (home ice), Tuesday night, did not give the impression they were out to give their fans another thrill. There was no scoring in a lackluster first period and it wasn’t until 13:12 of the second that Joffrey Lupul got the first goal of the game. Here was their chance to win 4 games in a row and lead the pack with 8 points. They stumbled through the rest of the game allowing the Avalanche to snap a goal in the second and the third, with no retaliation. Time to take their heads out of the clouds and play the way they played their first three games. Who will start the next game against Nashville…Bernier or Riemer?
