Ducks Shoot the Jets by Momma Gouche

The Winnipeg Jets managed only 17 shots, while the Anaheim Ducks had 34 in Saturday night’s game. Andrew Ladd and Blake Wheeler combined to score two goals in the first period and Mathieu Perreault put a wrist shot past Ondrej Pavelec. The period ended 2-1 jets. The Jets were not playing an outstanding game, but Ondrej Pavelec was holding them in the game. Andrew Cogliano tied the score with seconds left in the second. Then—- misfortune fell — !  Zack Bogosian mishandled the puck, which set up an easy game-winning goal for the Ducks’ Corey Perry. Anaheim was up 3-2. Then — more stress  —- when Zack took a boarding penalty @16:33. The Jets were not able to put anything together with the Pavelec on the bench and the Ducks stole a 3-2 win in what may be Teemu Selanne’s last game ever in Winnipeg. I don’t imagine Bogosian was too popular in the dressing room.
