Jets Lag In 3rd by Momma Gouche

The Los Angeles Lakers drew first blood in their game against the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night. But, then the Jets took over as Evander Kane, Devin Setoguchi and Olli Jokinen went on a scoring spree and Winnipeg was ahead 4-1 until 11 minutes into the third period. Two penalties to the Jets resulted in powerplay goals by Jeff Carter and Justin Williams. Winnipeg fell to a 4-3 lead and the game was up for grabs. The loud cheers in the Winnipeg arena were suddenly hushed, until Bryan Littles’ wrist shot connected. The Jet fans let out their breath and the cheers were ear-shattering. The Winnipeg Jets now join the Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche with 4 points. Kane and Sedoguchi picked up 3 points and Olli Jokinen got 2. If my Winnipeg Jets just keep their cool, and stay out of the penalty box, there could be great season ahead for them. They have the talent and a couple of first-rate goaltenders.
