Exhibition Or Debacle In Toronto Sunday Night? by Momma Gouche

One would think that the exhibition games, prior to the opening of NHL hockey season, is a chance for players to get some  conditioning and the management to evaluate the skills of their new players. Obviously the game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Sabres was a chance for the players to prove how tough they were. It should be more about skill and not how tough in my opinion. Even the goalies got into the act. Toronto took 19 of the 41 penalties. Not the type of game that I would pay  to watch or would Stopconcussions.com approve. Unfortunately too many of the exhibition games have been plagued with too many infractions. Time to play some serious hockey, with 6 players in the on the ice.
