The Jets Regroup by Momma Gouche

The Winnipeg Jets turned over the puck several times in the first period Sunday night in their game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. They seemed to settle down after Bryan Little  gave them the first goal. Dustin Byfuglein made it 2-0, on a power play at 2:35 in the second. Steven Stamkos shortened the lead to 1, but Tobias Enstrom (his first game back after missing nineteen games with a shoulder injury) extended the lead to 2 again at 9:35 of the second. Meanwhile Ondrej Pavelec proved to be the best penalty killer of the game with his outstanding saves in the second period. Cory Conacher scored for the Lightning in the third, but the Jets hung on for a 3-2 win. The Jets will meet the Carolina Hurricanes twice within the next week, and these are — must wins — to hold on to their lead in the Southeast Division. The Hurricanes have 2 games in hand.
