The Jets Have No Zest by Momma Gouche

The Ottawa Senators carried the balance of play in the first period on Sunday afternoon in their game agaist the Winnipeg Jets. Guillaume Latendresse scored at 3.44 to give Ottawa a 1-0 lead. the Senators had 3 power attempts ( one on which Jacob Silfverberg scored) and Ottawa finished the period up 2 goals. Interestingly enough the second goal was the first power play goal that Winnipeg had given up in 11 games. The Senators had 18 shots on goal and the Jets had zero. Zack Bogosian put the Jets on the score board at 3.26 of the third, but the Senators scored two more goals within a minute (a second for Silfverberg), and the game ends 4-1 for Ottawa. The jets didn’t seem to have any staying power; perhaps due to their long game the night before.
