King-s Of The Road by Momma Gouche

Even though the Los Angeles Kings have a great road record, Jarret Stoll, says the stats matter naught. The focus is on winning game two. Games three and four are … at home … and it will be encouraging to hear the support of the home fans, but the name of the game is … WIN! The opening game was not particularly exciting as much time was spent scrimmaging behind the nets. Both teams had trouble clearing the puck from their end. The end of the second saw the game tied 1-1 and there was no scoring in the third … althoughe the New Jersey Devils’ fans thought they had the go ahead early in the third. It was ruled that the puck went in off Zach Parise’s hand. Somehow … in overtime … Anze Kopitar was left alone in the middle of the rink and on a break away put a wrist shot in, for the win. These gutsy eighth placers have managed to stun the hockey world and come out smelling like roses. One cannot help but wish them luck for the rest of the series.
