Lundqvist Well In Range by Momma Gouche

With his second shutout and his three consecutive stops on Zach Parise in the second, Henrik Lindqvist definitely puts himself on the top of the list for the Hart & Vezina Trophy. He was like a brick wall in front of the New York Rangers’ net. The New Jersey Devils took over the second period Tuesday night, but no one could get past the stalwart Henrik. The score remained scoreless at the end of the second period. (for the sixth time in the playoff series). Dan Girardi’s goal :53 seconds into the third and Steve Bernier’s boarding penalty lead to the collapse of the devils. New Jersey played a far better game than the score indicated, but they will have to find a way to get Past Lindqvist if they are to go any further in the series.
