As if we weren’t stunned enough by the early demise of the Vancouver Canucks by the hands of the 8th place, Los Angeles Kings, it appears as though we could see another top seeded team fall prey to the same fate. With a 4-2 win over the St Louis Blues on Thursday night the Kings are on line to sweep the Blues. It has been “a war of attrition” and the Blues have been plagued by injuries, lack of depth and frustration. Seasoned players have been frustrated into taking senseless penalties; leaving the offense and defense lacking in strengh. The Los Angeles Kings have virtually worn down the St Louis Blues.
