Malkin And The Jets by Momma Gouche

I have always contended that the assist is oft-times more important than the goal. I stressed this to the young Gouche (Kerry Goulet), from the time he first dawned his hockey skates 47 years ago. He always proved me right. Evgeni Malkin might just have proved my point on Saturday afternoon, as he picked up a goal and 4 assists in the Pittsburgh game against the Winnipeg Jets. He played … a game of games … in the Penguins 8-5 win over the Jets. Evengi has taken up the slack of the absence of Sidney Crosby from the lineup. How fortunate for Pittsburgh that Malkin did not take up the offer to play in Russia.
