Jet’s Pavelec Quells The Storm by Momma Gouche

Lightning only struck once for Ondrej Pavelec in the Winipeg Jets’ game against Tampa Bay on Thursday night. The 30 shots he thwarted off left Tampa’s coach, Guy Boucher wondering what it takes to phase him. Victor Hedman was the only Lightning to get by him in the middle of the third period. Although Kyle Wellwood got the overtime goal and first star, I feel that Blake Wheeler, who got the Jets first goal and assisted on the winning goal, is somewhat that he had a goal and an assist in a 2-1 victory. The return of Dustin Byfuglien, after a 16 game absence, certainly added to the Jets power. He played 25 minutes and activated the play … that won the game. Hopefully Buffy can add that exta edge that will win more games for Winnipeg.
