Jets Capitalize 4-1 by Momma Gouche

With two goals by Evander Kane and power play tallies by Blake Wheeler and Kyle Wellwood the Winnipeg Jets virtually breezed through a very skillful and exciting game against The Washington Capitals Thursday night. Capitals’ Alexander Semin scored a 3:33 of the first period and it looked like Washington had come to best Winnipeg’s Favorite Sons. The commentators extolled, at great lengths, the prowesses of Dustin Byfuglien and Alexander Ovechkin, but although they both played their ultimate best, they didn’t tally a point. The Winnipeg fans were ecstatic and their cheers echoed to the roof. Andrej Pavelec proved himself, again and again, to be a big force in Winnipeg’s successes. Well done Jets!
