Calgary’s Jarome Iginla by Momma Gouche

Although the rumors of a trade have been cast around for some time, it looks as though … the lad who used to be Calgary’s Favorite Son … is becoming very close to reality. Iginla only has 8 points this season, and he did get an assist in the Calgary Flames game against the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday night.  The Flames won 2-1, with goals from Mark Giordano and a power play goal by Curtis Glencross. This game, as well as the two other Canadian games Sunday, also was a scene of fighting. Despite the concussions and deaths that have been attributed to violence in hockey, there has been very little change in the incidences. It is bound to have an effect, eventually, on the attendance of fans that are adverse to this so-called … part of the sport.
