Jets Burn The Islanders by Momma Gouche

Evander Kane put the Winnipeg Jets on the board at 4:21 in Thursday night’s game against the New York Isalnders. There was no scoring in the second, but Johnny Oduya scored at 16:04 and Alexander Burmistrov scored into the empty net at 17:44, to give Andrej Pavelec a shutout. The Jets took the only three single penalties and were outshot 34-26. Pavelec was very steady in the net and came up with the big saves when needed. The Jets looked like they were at last coming into their own. Jim Slater played a great game, both offensively and defensively. What more can be said, except perhaps, the Winnipeg Jets have arrived.
