Canucks Connect…by Momma Gouche

The Vancouver Canucks have not had a very impressive start this season, but their 5-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night showed they came to up their status. They took control of the game in the first period with goals from Chris Higgens, Alexandre Burrows and Daniel Sedin. Cody Hodgson and Alexander Edler added two more in the second, to virtually put the game out of reach. The Flames seemed to have no spark, but did manage a last-minute goal by Alex Tanquay. Edler was the key player in the action with a goal and two assists. They have started to show the fire that lead them to the Stanley Cup final last season. They are 3 points out of the leading group, but by no means out of the running. Edmonton and Toronto are making a good showing for Canada at this point.
