Jets In Shoot-Out…by Momma Gouche

Even though the Florida Panthers out shot the Winnipeg Jets 20-7 in the first period, on Saturday night, Kyle Wellwood and Evander Kane put 2 goals on the board for the Jets. Jason Garrison scored for Florida with 20 seconds left in the period and Tomas Fleichmann scored twice in the second to put he Panthers up by one. With 50 seconds left in the third Evander Kane got the equalizer. There was no scoring in OT, but Kyle Wellwood clinched the win in the shootout. Wellwood got 2 goals and an assist, Kane had two goals and Andrew Ladd got a goal and an assist. A win that Winnipeg really needed and the players put up some good solid teamwork.
