Jet – Lag…by Momma Gouche

The balance of play was mostly in the Winnipeg end Saturday night when the Jets played the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa Bay scored at 9:59, but the goal was disallowed as Dominic Moore was called for goalie interference. Ondreji Pavelec was challenge several times in the first period , but stalwartly stood up to everything that came at him. The Jets played well in their power plays, but didn’t manage to capitalize. Vincent Le Cavalier scores on a power play with 40 seconds left in the second. Pavelec cannot be faulted for the goal, as with the traffic in front of him, he didn’t even see the puck. The Jets played very well in the third, but Dwayne Roloson was hot, and even with six men on the ice, in the dyeing minutes, they were not able to get past him. Winnipeg now goes on a week road trip, and with a mere 7 points they are going to have to put some solid games together.
