Montreal’s Max Pacioretty A Winner by Momma Gouche

It was a game time decision to put Pacoiretty on the roster Wednesday night: when the Montreal Canadiens faced off against the Philadelphia Flyers. What a decision! The feisty left winger, who had suffered a wrist injury, lead the Canadiens to a 5-1 win over the Flyers. Philadelphia’s Jaromir Jagr got the first (and only) goal at 10:43 of the first period. From then on Montreal took over. Yannick Weber scored on a power-play at 19:57 and they never looked back. Andrei Kostitsyn scored for the Canadiens at 10:25 of the second, followed by Max Pacioretty at 12:38. Pacioretty scored again at 3:16 of the third: which gave him two goals and an assist.  It was a truly gutsy effort for an iffy starter. Michael Cammalleri ended the scoring at 15:36. Montreal looked like a team possessed: with a definite new look for a team that was two points out of the cellar. Admittedly they have a long way to go to reach play-off statis, but it was a shot in the right direction.
