Luongo Couldn’t Cope

Luongo managed to handle 13 shots in the first period of the Vancouver Canucks’ game against the Edmonton Oilers Monday night, but fell to pieces in the second period and three out of four shots got by him. He was replaced by Corey Schneider, but the damage was done and the Canucks were down 3-0. Cody Hodgson scored for the Canucks at 11:29 of the second and Alexander Burrows shortened the lead to one at 7:43 of the third. Schneider played a very credible game in his tenure in net and the Canucks out-shot the Oilers 37-22; but 3-2 was the best the Canucks could muster. The Edmonton Oilers are now one point ahead of the Vancouver Canucks with 10 points.
