Hawks in a Shoot Out…by Momma Gouche

Another scoreless first period in Monday nights hockey schedule. There was no scoring in the first period in the game between the Chicago Black Hawks and the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night. The Hawks took a penalty late in the first and  the Ducks’ Ryan Getzlaf was quick to put a power play goal away at :58 of the second. Marion Hoss put the Hawks on the board at 10:16, but Temmu Selanne retaliated at 16:22 and the Ducks go ahead 2-1. Patrik Sharpe got the lone goal in the third and the game went into overtime. A scoreless OT set the scene for a shoot out and on the sixth shot Patrick Kane settled the score at 3-2 Black Hawks. Kane had also assisted on Chicago’s two other goals. The Chicago Blacks Hawks now have an impressive 12 points and the Anaheim Ducks are at 9.
