Jets Are Struggling…by Momma Gouche

When Dustin Byfuglien, Alexander Burmistrov and Tobias Enstrom combined to give the Winnipeg Jets the first goal in Thursday night’s game against the Ottawa Senators, it looked as though the big guns were out to prove their mettle. However the Jets did not get on the score board again and Ottawa scored two in the second period and two in the third. Jason Spezza was at his best with a goal and assist in the second and an assist in the third. The Jets are really having a difficult time putting it all together. They have taken the lead in at least two games, but have not managed to keep up the momentum. They are at three losses – one win – and a failure in a shootout. The Winnipeg fans are still supportive and have not booed their boys for their losses. Toronto fans should take a lesson from these stalwart supporters. It’s a long season still to come and hopefully The Jets will find their niche.
