The Bombers Bombed Out by Momma

The consensus of the media, and yours truly, is that the Winnipeg Blue Bombers played a lackluster game and got senseless penalties against the Edmonton Eskimos Saturday night. They did not look like a sqaud that was vying to stay in first place and contend for the Grey Cup. They stand at 9-6; while Montreal is 10-5. That does not say that they are out of the running, but they must put up a stronger offense and defence if they are to tie Montreal when they meet them next week in Winnipeg. The Bombers have what it takes to be in the Cup final, but must avoid the yardage they have lost by these avoidable penalties. They are too seasoned and professional to be overzealous in their defensive plays. Winning against Montreal is a must to keep up the momentum.
