Major League star Sheen took steroids

It looks like troubled actor, Charlie Sheen, will once again find himself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Sheen, who was recently fired from the hit show “Two and a Half Men”, admitted in the latest edition of Sports Illustration that he took steroids while filming the 1989 hit movie Major League. According to Sheen, by taking steroids for approximately six to eight weeks, his fastball improved from 79 to 85 miles per hour. In the movie Sheen, who portrayed relief pitcher, Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn, was supposed to be a free spirited pitcher who was known for throwing pitches way outside. Sheen said that the only setback from the steroids was that it made him more irriable than usual.
