Canucks Still Lethargic…by Momma Gouche

Vancouver Canucks opened Wednesday night’s game looking like they were ready to vindicate themselves for Monday Night’s shellacking, both goal wise and physically. They looked pretty impressive to start. Then Rich Peverley had a breakaway at 11:59 and Boston Bruins were ahead 1-0. The Canucks  out-shot the Bruins and had two power plays, but they came out of the first period scoreless. Things did not get any better, as the Bruins scored again at 11:11 and 13:29 of the second. Ryan Kesler and the Sedin brothers. could not put anything together and Boston was up 3-0 at the end of the period. The Bruins took over the third and the Canucks were totally lethargic. This did not look like the team that had played well, no matter whose ice surface they were on. Rich Peverley got his second at 3:39 of the third and the game was virtually over. Roberto Luongo was replaced by Cory Schneider, but nothing changed. Tim Thomas put on another of his brilliant displays and I declare him The Heart Of The Team. Brad Marchand, who had scored in the second, went on some kind of rampage and took a swipe at anyone in white. The Canucks retaliated and a few penalties and ejections followed. So the next game becomes a must for  Vancouver, and perhaps the home ice Will make the difference. They have to get back their confidence and forget about the twelve goals scored on them in Boston. Their key players have to produce to the level they have played throughout the other series.
