Canucks Had The Power…by Momma Gouche

The Vancouver Canucks finally got a grip on their power play and finished up with three. Kesler was his usual commander of the face-off circle and the Sedin twins racked up five points between them. The two quick goals by Daniel Sedin and Raffi Torres certainly headed the Canucks in the right direction, but it wasn’t until they took a two goal lead that fans could breathe easy, with the possibility that this game was in their hands. Vancouver didn’t sit back on their lead, but continued to add to their score with a goal by Aaron Rome, which put the game out of site at 6-2. Jason Raymond added another at 16:42 and San Jose’s Ben Eager scored one last goal for the Sharks 17:27, but the Canucks had finessed themselves into an easy victory. There were a few bouts of handed to hand fighting, but it appeared to be more or less frustration on the Sharks part and a sense of the Canucks wanting to prove their domination. It was rather an exciting game, but then when you are a Vancouver fan it is easy to sit back and enjoy. The final score was 7-3 and a great win for Vancouver. Now on to the road .. and hopefully the Canucks can keep up their momentum. My friend, Tanzeen, adamantly tells me the Sharks will take the series 4-3, but he better hope the Sharks don’t lose a single game on their home ice.
