Tampa Bay Ahead 3-0 In Series…by Momma Gouche

At 7;13 of the first period Tampa Bay LIghtning took a penalty and Washington Capitals thought they had scored at 7:48 in the Tampa Bay Lightning/Washington Capital game on Tuesday night, but the Capitals were called on a too many men. The Lightning had been playing a little sluggish until Sean Bergenheim scored a 11:03 and Tampa Bay picked up some momentum. The Capitals make a few passing errors and then a penalty to Mike Knuble for elbowing appears to frustrate the team. The score remains 1-0 through the first. At 00:59 of the second Mike Knuble redeems himself, but at 7:59 John Carlson gave Washington a 2-1 lead. Vincent Lecavalier strikes back at 11:51 and the game is tied again at 2-2. Tampa Bay took penalties at 15:52 and 16:26 and the Lightning were digging themselves into a hole. A power play by Alex Ovechkin gives Washington the lead at 17:17. The Lightning came out in the third with a little more zest (no doubt some reorganizing  took place in the intermission). A goal by Stephen Stamkos ties the game at 5:23 … and just 24 seconds later Ryan Malone put the game away for Tampa Bay. An exciting third period …. that no doubt … have a few fans wondering where the Bolt came from.
