LeCavalier Saves The Day…by Momma Gouche

The Tampa Bay Lightning were playing a very layback … and see what happens … style on Sunday night, until Washington Capitals’, Alex Ovechkin, took a high stick penalty and Vincent Cavalier capitalized on the 5 on 4 at 19-01,to put the Lightning ahead 1-0, at the end of the period. Tampa Bay only had 3 shots in the second and a goal by Washington’s, Brooks Laich tied the score at 14:52. Tampa Bay’s, Martin St Louis, connected at 7:35 of the third and the Lightning started playing a little more aggressively and had 11 shots on goal. But the ever-present Ovechkin, who had appeared injured earlier on, put the game into overtime at 18:52. At 6:19 of OT Lecavalier scored again and Tampa Bay go home up 2-0 in the series. Who would have thought?
