Hawk’s Bickell will miss Game 7

The challenge of winning Game 7 on Tuesday night against the Vancouver Canucks just got a little bigger, as it was announced on Monday that one of their most productive forwards won’t be playing. Bryan Bickell, who has scored 17 goals and 37 points this season, lacerated a tendon in his hand during Game 2 of this quarterfinal series and will be going under the knife. “While the surgery was anticipated since the injury occurred, Bryan wanted to play as long as possible before time ran out, to complete the procedure appropriately,” Blackhawks team physician, Dr. Michael Terry, said. A huge reason why the defending Stanley Cup champions are still playing today is due to Bickell, who has scored two goals and four points in five play-off games. Bickell, who is known for his hard hits, also scored a big goal in the Hawks 4-3 overtime Game 6 victory, last Sunday, in Chicago.
