Canucks’ Luongo will start Game 6

All hockey fans in Vancouver need to take a deep breath and remind themselves that their beloved Canucks are still in the drivers seat. After losing Game 5 by a 5-0 score to the Chicago Blackhawks many fans in Vancouver were suggesting that Canucks heads coach Alain Vigneault start backup Cory Schneider as opposed to Vezina finalist Roberto Luongo who has been pulled in his last two outings. Heading into Sunday night’s pivital Game 6 Vigneault shot down any speculation of a goaltending controversy when he announced that Luongo who went 38-15-7 this year with a 2.11 GAA and a .928 save percentage would in fact be back in the Canucks’ net. Even though Luongo has yielded 10 goals in his last 40 shots he was his usual calm self when discussing the series which has Vancouver leading 3-2. “There’s ups and downs in the playoffs.  The key is, we’ve got to stay composed here,” Luongo who was lights out in the first three games of the series said.  “Obviously, you don’t want to get caught in these situations but we’ve got to take a deep breath here and relax a little bit.  I think it’s a good thing we’ve got a couple of days to re-group here as a team and just get back to doing what we do best.”
