Rodriguez not in Yankees lineup

It seems like the only thing that can slow down New York Yankees’ third baseman, Alex Rodriguez, is the weather. Rodriguez, who is hitting a sizzling .385 with four homeruns and nine RBI’s, had to leave Saturday’s 5-2 win against the Texas Rangers, due to a stiff back suffered from the cold weather. “I just didn’t think it made any sense to push it,” said Yankees’ manager, Joe Girardi, in explaining why his star infielder wasn’t in the line-up on Sunday against the Rangers. We’re going to give him the day off.” On Sunday Rodriguez, who is in his nineteenth season, received treatment, and according to Girardi should be back in the lineup either on  Tuesday or Wednesday, in Toronto against the Blue Jays. Former Oakland A’s infielder, Eric Chavez, came in for Rodriguez in the seventh inning on Saturday, and started at third on Sunday.
