Tyler Seguin is Perfect in Boston

After scoring his second goal of the year and helping his Boston Bruins beat the Toronto Maple Leafs, Tyler Seguin was all smiles after emerging from a meeting with Coach Claude Julien. Seguin, who was taken second overall in last summer’s draft was informed on that Tuesday night that he will indeed not be going back to junior. “I just found out,” Seguin who has two goals and four points in nine games said. During what was a 2-0 Tuesday night win, Boston fans were once again all over former Bruin Phil Kessel who was traded to the Leafs for a first round pick which turned out to be Seguin. Kessel who has seven goals this season was obvioulsy held off the scoresheet despite generating six shots on goal. “He must be doing something right if the’re doing that,” Seguin said about the Boston fans getting on Kessel. “I like to say I hope I’ll get booed in an arena. But hopefully it won’t be Boston. Seguin doesn’t have to worry about that. Another player who doesn’t have to worry about getting booed is veteran goalie Tim Thomas who made 20 saves and improved to 5-0 on the season with a 0.60 GAA. “I feel good,” Thomas said. “It’s fun to play right now. It was easier to focus on a shutout because we couldn’t afford to give up a goal and let them (Leafs) back in.” Besides for Seguin the Bruins other goal came from veteran forward Patrice Bergeron. After the game various Leaf players were singing of praises of Thomas who made many difficult sprawling saves. “Their goalie made some good saves,” Leafs defenceman and captain Dion phaneuf said. “he was hot. We threw everything at him we could.” Kessel who last year actually told Bruins management that he wanted to be traded has now only scored one assist in seven games as a Leaf against his old team. “I just think we do a real good job playing against him,” Julien said.
