The Ontario Knights Tour is Over

The Ontario Knights European 2008 Tour is over!

What a huge success, not only on the ice but off. The players were first class throughout the tour and are great ambassadors for Canada and hockey in general. The fans of the London Knights must be very proud and the coaching job done by Dale Hunter and Pat Curcio was superb! In the closing game down 3-0 in the third period, the Knights could have lost their heads but they didn’t. Provoked by Markus Jocher of the EHC Munchen several times, the team kept their cool and played harder and eventually won the game, the series and the hearts of all German fans. Every player was fantastic and they all agreed that this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I found Sam Gagner a true professional and just one of the boys. Rob Schremp was a jokester, Marc Methot and Kyle Qunicey excellent leaders, Rob Drummond a motor on the ice and Adam Dennis cool as a cucumber! Congratulations to all who were involved. A big thank you has to go to Pat, Dale, Lee Paige, Gus Badali, Chris Maton, Bob Martin, and the players for making 29 Sports feel as a part of the team throughout their travels.

Here are the final goal scorers in the deciding game 7.

1. 23 Kelly Thompson
